SpicyChat AI in the app: what we found
We ran one chat on the app's default model with the same fixed script we use for every app: four personal facts in the first two messages (a name, a home city, a dog's name and a birthday), fifteen lines of small talk, then a recall question at message 18. The first screens of the home feed were all roleplay scenarios, so the character was Stella T. Angela, a community character found by searching "supportive friend".
- Memory: four facts at message 18
- Asked in character at message 18, the character stated all four facts correctly: "Your name is Sam, you're from Leeds, your dog's name is Pickle, and your birthday is March 3rd." No out-of-character follow-up was needed. This was on the free tier's 4K context. Eighteen short messages with replies of about 180 tokens probably fit inside that window, so this shows short-range recall, not long-term memory.
- Context and model on free
- Generation Settings showed "Context Memory: 4K" ("access to 4096 tokens of memory") on the default model, listed as 26B with support for up to 32K context. Replies were set to 180 tokens on a slider that goes to 300, and changing the model is "Available on the True Supporter and I'm All In plans".
- Free allowance
- The free account showed no message counter, credits or cap anywhere, and no limit or upgrade banner appeared during the 18 messages.
- The paywall
- The paywall sells three plans, Get a Taste, True Supporter and I'm All In, with a toggle between "Pay Monthly" and "Pay Annually, Save 17%". Monthly was pre-selected. No free trial and no struck-through prices were shown.
- Finding the real app
- Searching Google Play for SpicyChat led to "Spicy Chat - Ignite the Spark", an unrelated app whose developer is listed as Minquan County Runyou Building Materials Co., Ltd. SpicyChat is not on Google Play; the real Android app is a download from spicychat.ai.
- Safe Search default
- On the new account, Safe Search was switched on by default in the profile tab.

What SpicyChat is
SpicyChat is a community character platform: users create characters, publish them, and anyone can chat with them. Its own description invites adults to explore their fantasies with NSFW characters in uncensored roleplay, and adult content is its main draw. It belongs to the same company as GirlfriendGPT, NextDay AI Incorporated, which lists subsidiaries in Delaware and Cyprus.
It runs in the browser. Apple removed the iOS app in August 2025 for not complying with its guidelines, and SpicyChat is not on Google Play; Android users can install an official app file from spicychat.ai, and iPhone users are told to add the site to their home screen.
The free tier
Anyone can chat without paying, and SpicyChat publishes no daily or monthly message cap. The limits are elsewhere: the free tier shows ads, caps replies at 180 tokens, holds a context of 4,096 tokens, and allows three saved personas. The short context is the one you will notice first, because characters lose track of a story after a few dozen exchanges.
That makes SpicyChat's free tier usable every day, but lighter than Janitor AI's, which offers roughly twice the context for free.
The three paid plans
SpicyChat sells three plans, each monthly or yearly on the web: Get a Taste, True Supporter and I'm All In. Get a Taste removes ads but keeps the free context. True Supporter doubles the context and adds conversation images on selected characters. I'm All In raises the context as far as 32,768 tokens depending on the model, adds text-to-speech voices and allows images with any character.
All three went up on September 8, 2026, according to SpicyChat's own pricing update page; the old and new prices are on the SpicyChat pricing page. Yearly billing costs less than twelve months, and some payment methods, including cryptocurrency, are excluded from the refund policy.
Memory, images and voice
Beyond the context window, SpicyChat has a long-term memory feature, Semantic Memory 2.0, that stores important details from your conversations, and a Memory Manager where you can edit, delete, pin or add memories yourself. That is more control than most character platforms give.
Conversation images are AI pictures of the scene you are writing, and in NSFW mode they can include nude depictions of your character. Voice is message playback: on I'm All In you can listen to replies in a chosen voice, but there are no live calls. The community guidelines ban plain images of genitalia and photorealistic nudity in character art, and anything involving minors.
Age checks are stricter than most
Every user must be at least 18. For most people that is a declaration, but SpicyChat requires a video selfie, or an ID check if the selfie fails, before adult content unlocks in France, the UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states, using third-party verification partners. If you do not verify there, you can still use the site, without NSFW content. Few apps in this category go that far.
What users rate it
With no app store listing, the only large public rating is Trustpilot's, from an unclaimed profile, and it is low. Our score, calculated from published facts only, is shown above with its breakdown: SpicyChat gains on memory, images and a usable free tier, and loses on privacy terms, platforms and that rating.
The terms are the part most reviews skip. SpicyChat says it has the right to use, sell and license the content generated in chats, while not owning them. It is the broadest such clause among the character platforms on this site, and it is why the privacy part of the score is low. The Is SpicyChat safe page quotes it in full, with deletion, retention and the three known issues SpicyChat lists on its own security page.
Who SpicyChat AI suits, and who it doesn't
Suits: adults who want an uncensored character library in the browser, with memory they can edit and optional conversation images.
Look elsewhere if: you want an iPhone app, live voice calls, or terms that keep your chat content private. Janitor AI is more generous for free; Kindroid and Nomi are built for one ongoing companion.

SpicyChat's own September 2026 Pricing Update FAQ confirms the change directly: Get A Taste $5.00 to $5.95/mo, True Supporter $14.95 to $19.95/mo and the top tier, I'm All In, $24.95 to $29.95/mo, all effective September 8, 2026. Annual prices rose the same day: Get A Taste $50.00 to $60.00/yr, True Supporter $149.95 to $199.95/yr, I'm All In $249.95 to $299.95/yr. SpicyChat has no App Store or Play Store listing under its own name, so its own pages are the price source.
