Which should you pick?

• Pick Candy.ai if you want the lowest price and will pay for a year: Candy's yearly Premium works out to under a third of its own monthly rate, and costs well under half of OurDream's yearly Premium.
• Pick Candy.ai if you want more ways to pay: Candy takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer and crypto, while OurDream's upgrade page lists card, crypto and local payment methods, depending on region.
• Pick Candy.ai if you mostly use a phone and want Live Action, Candy's token-gated erotic video mode for select characters, which runs on mobile only.
• Pick OurDream AI if you want to know in advance what extras cost: OurDream's help centre lists the coin price of every image, video, call minute and premium voice, while Candy publishes neither its per-action token costs nor its top-up prices before sign-in.
• Pick OurDream AI if you are a heavy user: Deluxe gives five times Premium's monthly coins, three times the chat memory and premium thinking models, at three times the Premium price.

Free accounts are trials on both

Neither site has a free tier to stay on. Candy gives a free account five chat messages per character, one custom character and one generated image; after that, chatting needs Premium. OurDream lets a free account browse, chat with any character and build its own, but each message costs one dreamcoin from a starter balance (55 coins on a new account in our check on 18 October 2026), images and video need a subscription, and more coins cannot be bought without one.

So both work as a look before paying. Candy's ends at the fifth message to a character; in our OurDream check, the sixth reply in a chat came back blurred under "Limit reached for this chat".

Plans and the price per month

Candy sells one plan, Premium, billed monthly, quarterly or yearly. Paying quarterly cuts the monthly cost by about a third, and paying yearly brings it under a third of the monthly rate. Every term includes unlimited text chat, 100 tokens a month and 18+ image and video generation. A higher Premium Plus plan, with 330 tokens a month, Live Action and 20 memory slots, exists, but Candy shows its price only in checkout after sign-in.

OurDream sells Premium and Deluxe, each monthly or yearly. Yearly Premium costs half the monthly rate per month and adds 1,000 bonus coins up front. Deluxe costs three times Premium and gives 5,000 coins a month, three times the chat memory and free premium thinking models.

Like for like, Candy's monthly Premium costs about 30 percent less than OurDream's, and Candy's yearly Premium costs about two-fifths of OurDream's. The Candy AI pricing page and the OurDream AI review carry every figure with its source.

Tokens, coins and what happens when you stop paying

On both paid plans text chat is included and the currency pays for media. Candy's tokens cover images, turning an image into a video, voice messages, voice calls, private content packs and creating a custom character, credited on the day of the month you first subscribed. OurDream publishes a coin price list: a pair of images, each five seconds of video, each minute of a voice call and each new chatbot has a fixed cost, and one video can run to a minute.

Stopping works differently. OurDream's help centre says: "If you un-subscribe your images and videos will become blurred till you re-subscribe." It applies the same rule to community packs you bought, and says coins do not expire. Candy's own documents disagree: its terms say leftover tokens expire when the subscription ends, while its help centre says they stay on the account.

The refund rules differ. Candy refunds a subscription within 24 hours of payment only if 20 or fewer tokens were used, and only on card payments, with a 14-day withdrawal right on a first purchase in the EU and UK. OurDream's help centre says there is no refund on cancellation or once more than 25% of a product has been used, and that crypto payments are not refundable.

Content rules and age checks

Both allow explicit content for adults in chat, images and video, and both ban content involving minors, real people and non-consensual imagery. OurDream's list of hard limits is longer: it also rules out characters from existing intellectual property, biological family relationships and several fetish categories, applies the rules to private chats, and allows no photo uploads at all, to prevent deepfakes. Its help centre says: "We have to keep the system strict to comply with our third-party payment providers."

For most US visitors age is self-declared on both. Candy shows an age gate and says it may add further checks where local rules require them. OurDream uses a third-party check (face age estimation, a selfie, ID or a card) where the law requires it, including the UK and Australia, and says it receives only a pass or fail.

Who runs them and what they do with chats

Candy belongs to EverAI Limited, registered in Malta; charges show as EverAI, and the site blocks access from China and Singapore. In August 2026 the UK Advertising Standards Authority upheld a complaint against one of its Facebook ads. OurDream belongs to Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation; its refund and underage policies also name Dream Studio LLC and Tektopia Ltd.

Both privacy policies say chats are used to train their models, and both say they do not sell personal data. Candy's allows human review of de-identified conversations, has an opt-out switch in account settings that is on by default, says third-party model providers may receive your messages, and keeps account data for up to three years after your last activity. OurDream's Safety Center says the model provider processes each message to write the reply; its policy doesn't describe an opt-out and sets no fixed retention period.

Neither has an App Store or Google Play app. Both install on a phone from the browser as a home-screen web app, and App Store apps with Candy in the name come from other companies.
