Cancel anytime.", with "5× more context, so bots remember more", priority routing, monthly enhanced swipes, more models through a Router balance and a Router credit as a signup bonus. No yearly plan was shown.

- Replies took about 45 to 60 seconds each. Slow replies brought up a banner under the chat: "This reply is taking a while", offering "3× faster replies · 5× better memory · Router access" and a Router credit, with a "Speed up responses" button. The profile settings page also carries a janitor+ banner.

What you get for free
The free tier is the most generous in adult character chat. There is no daily message cap and no credit system: you can chat with any bot as long as you like on JLLM. The limit is context. JLLM holds roughly eight to nine thousand tokens of conversation, so in a long roleplay the earliest events drop out of what the character can see.
Janitor AI's own page puts it plainly: free stays free. The paid plan launched in June 2026 was added on top of the free tier rather than carved out of it.
What janitor+ adds
janitor+ is a single plan, billed monthly or, on the website, yearly; the yearly price works out about a third cheaper per month. It gives five times the free context, which is the biggest practical difference in long stories. It adds priority routing, so replies stay fast when the site is busy, a monthly allowance of enhanced swipes that regenerate a reply with a stronger model, and an included balance for Router. Subscribers can also claim a one-time Router launch credit.

We have not seen the price inside the iOS app, so check the amount in the app's own purchase screen before you confirm. Buying in the app puts billing and cancellation in your Apple account; buying on the web means paying Janitor AI directly.
Router and proxies: the other way to pay
Janitor AI lets you swap JLLM for another model in two ways, and they are billed differently. A proxy uses your own API key from an outside provider, entered in the API settings. Janitor AI charges nothing for this, and the help centre has setup guides for OpenRouter and Chutes; what you pay depends on that provider and the model you pick, and some offer a daily free allowance.
Router, launched in July 2026, does the same job without an outside account. It is hosted by Janitor AI, billed per token at the prices shown in the settings, and only available to janitor+ subscribers. It suits people who want stronger models without managing keys; heavy users may find a direct provider cheaper.
Is janitor+ worth it?
If your stories rarely run past a few dozen messages, the free tier is enough and janitor+ adds little. If you write long, running roleplays, the fivefold context is the main reason to pay, because it is the difference between a character that remembers the start of the story and one that does not.
Compared with other adult roleplay platforms, janitor+ is a mid-priced single plan with no credits to track, which makes its cost predictable. Pay-per-token Router use is the one part that can grow.
What the free tier does not include
The free tier has no cap on chats, but a few things sit behind janitor+. Priority routing is paid only, so free replies can slow down at peak times. Enhanced swipes and the Router balance are paid only. And the larger context, the main reason to upgrade, is paid only. Everything else, including the full library, bot creation and proxies with your own key, is free.
