What the app's free tier and paywall showed
Free account
- The free model
- The Chat Model sheet had "Role-play Model" selected, described as "Default role-playing model, permanently free". Two reasoning models, a reasoning version of the Role-play Model and Deepseek R1, cost 2 and 5 gems a message, or come with "Talkie+ Pro: 20 free daily".
- Free allowance
- On the default model the free account showed no message counter, and no limit prompt appeared during the 18 messages.
- Memory setting
- The character's Memory retention bar sat at "Basic", with an "Enhanced Memory" upgrade link beside it.
- A second chat costs gems
- Each character has four save slots. Slot 1 is the default; unlocking slot 2, to "Enable multiple independent chats within the same Talkie", costs 599 gems.
- Ads
- The free account got full-screen ads between chat turns, one of them for a third-party video-chat app.

- The panel, headed "Unlock the best with Talkie+!", opened on yearly billing, where Talkie+ Standard showed its yearly price struck through, a lower price for the first year and an "Extra -50% first year" badge. Talkie+ Pro was marked Most Popular. The footer reads "Subscription auto-renews until canceled." Every price matched our first read on October 18; the table has them all.

Standard has extended memory retention, 5 pinned memories and partial editing and locking of memories; Pro has permanent retention, 10 pinned memories and full editing. Subscriptions plus a currency
Talkie charges in two ways. A Talkie+ subscription changes how the app works day to day: no daily chat cap, no ads, voice calls without a limit, more image generations, better chat memory and faster replies. Talkie Gems are a separate currency, bought on top. They pay for extra chat inspiration refreshes, reply regenerations, rewrites and continuations, and for replies from Talkie Claw once its free messages run out.
The two overlap. Subscribers get ten percent extra Gems on every top-up and a few free gacha draws each month. Someone who mostly chats will get what they need from a subscription alone; heavy use of regenerations and Talkie Claw is where Gems spending adds up.
Talkie+ Standard and Talkie+ Pro
Talkie's pricing panel compares the two levels row by row. Both remove the ads and the daily chat cap, reply faster and add 10% to Gems top-ups. Standard extends memory retention, pins 5 memories and gives partial control over editing and locking them. Pro makes retention permanent, pins 10 with full editing, and adds the rows Standard lacks: a more advanced chat, chat memory, extra reply and inspiration regenerations, and more message edits and keep-talking turns.
In the Android app, Pro is also the level named on the reasoning models: the Chat Model sheet offered them for 2 or 5 gems a message, or "Talkie+ Pro: 20 free daily". The website panel is the clearest place to compare the two before paying.
Monthly, quarterly or yearly
Talkie's website sells both levels on three billing terms. Quarterly is labelled 10% off the monthly rate and yearly 20% off, and on yearly billing, which the panel opens on, Standard carries an extra 50% off its first year before renewing at the full yearly price. The plans table and the panel screenshots give every figure as a signed-in US account saw them on October 26, 2026; none had changed since our first read on October 18.
If Talkie is already your main character app, yearly Standard with the first-year discount is the cheapest way in, at well under half the monthly rate for that first year; note the date it renews. If you are trying it, a single month shows whether the chat limit and ads were really what bothered you.
Where to subscribe and how to cancel
Talkie+ bought on the website applies in the app too, according to Talkie's own help page, though it warns that benefits can differ slightly between the two. Web subscriptions are cancelled from a Manage Billing section on the site. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play can only be changed or cancelled in that store, and the terms say no refund is given for a part-used month.
Buying through Apple or Google keeps the charge and the cancellation in an account you already manage. The quarterly plan and the first-year offer are on Talkie's website panel, whose footer says the subscription auto-renews until canceled.
Is Talkie+ worth it?
If you chat for a few minutes most days, the free tier is enough: the library, voice and image features are all there, with ads and a daily ceiling. Talkie+ earns its price for people who hit the chat limit regularly, dislike the ads, or want voice calls without watching a meter.
Pro costs two and a half times as much as Standard month to month. What it adds is permanent memory, twice the pinned memories and the more advanced chat, so it suits people whose long stories keep losing the thread rather than people who just want the cap and the ads gone.
No plan changes the rules. Talkie's guidelines ban explicit and suggestive sexual content for every account, paid or free, so a subscription is not a way to unlock adult roleplay.
